Internet industry practitioners favor openness, freedom, and collaboration. According to NOVAH NEXT SPI data, employees in the internet sector have a strong preference for open and collaborative communication methods. NOVAH has partnered with Alibaba to create a ‘shared and dynamic’ workspace designed to cultivate an open and relaxed atmosphere, thereby encouraging communication and collaboration among staff members and promoting innovation 

Customer profile

Alibaba Group was established in 1999 by 18 people led by Jack Ma, a former English teacher from Hangzhou, China. From the outset, the company’s founders shared a belief that the Internet would level the playing field by enabling small enterprises to leverage innovation and technology to grow and compete more effectively in the domestic and global economies.

Open office environment

Every remarkable idea stems from the exchanges among staff members, and small-scale collaborative discussions are particularly frequent in internet companies. Therefore, informal open collaboration spaces are of great importance. Employees look forward to being able to find a space for free and open discussion at any time. 

In this particular area, we have configured a variety of NOVAH products including Chalet, Cube, and the Focus mobile TV wall, creating an iconic setting within the Alibaba meeting space that is suitable for multiple people to share or discuss ideas.

The Cube sofa modules are compact and flexible, allowing for an increase in seating capacity based on actual needs, thereby enhancing the inclusiveness of this zone. 

The Focus mobile TV wall, on the other hand, facilitates employees to present their plans and data, and its bottom-mounted swivel casters make it easy to move around, enabling quick adjustment of angles and directions, thus facilitating employee focus. 

Additionally, the panel adds visual barriers to the area, differentiating it from other spaces while still preserving maximum openness.

The area is configured with open storage space for office documents, cell phones and mugs.

Cozy and comfortable leisure area 

Nowadays, elements such as air and sunlight in office spaces are increasingly garnering people’s attention. Leveraging the benefits of floor-to-ceiling windows, we have transformed this area into an open, leisurely collaborative zone where one can bask in warm sunlight. 

We have chosen the Four Real A leisure table, on which green plants can be placed.

Enjoy the delicious food 

The dining area is predominantly white, complemented by wood tones and orange hues to create a harmonious color scheme. Here, we have selected seating from the Four Sure and Four Me series to craft a comfortable dining atmosphere. 

Training Space

Inside the training room, Fold folding tables and Natal training chairs are paired to create a suitable setting for formal training and learning. The Fold folding tables offer flexible mobility, allowing for quick arrangement and reconfiguration based on different activity schedules.
